How to set up Company Match in ADP Run if Employees are Contributing to both Pretax and Roth
- Log into ADP Run
- Click Settings on the left side of the screen
- Click "Earnings and Deductions" under the Payroll section
- Click "Edit" Next to the Roth code listed under the Deductions section
- On the top right select "No" for company match
- Do steps 4 & 5 again for any other Roth codes listed (Roth flat dollar, Catch up, etc.)
- Click "Add Deduction" on the bottom
- Select "Retirement" from the first drop down
- Select "Employer Contribution to 401k %" from the second drop down
- Click Save
- Open an employee profile that is contributing to Roth
- Go to "Earnings and Deductions"
- Click "Add Deduction" (sometimes it says "Add Retirement Deduction")
- Select the "Employer Contribution to 401k from the drop down
- Input the percent that particular employee should be getting of the match. (I.E. If you match up to 4% and this employee is contributing 2% to Roth you would put 2% in there)
- Save
- Do this for ALL employees contributing to just Roth
- For any employees contributing to both Roth and Pretax add the Employer Contribution the same, adjusting the percent entered based on their total contribution amount (I.E. the employee is contributing 2% to Roth and 2% to Pretax you would input 4% in for the match).
